Candytopia Will Bring All Your Sugar-Filled Dreams To Life
Ever dream about eating your way through Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory? Well, you’re in luck. Thanks to a new interactive pop-up, candy-coasted fantasies are about to become a reality.
Jackie Sorkin, of TLC’s Candy Queen fame, has curated an immersive candy experience that’s sure to delight sweet lovers of all ages. Set to debut on December 15th in Los Angeles, Candytopia will offer visitors a colorful adventure through several sugar-themed installations.
Candytopia is “a sprawling sanctuary of confectionary bliss,” as stated on the website. And in similar Instagram-enticing fashion as the Museum of Ice Cream, the three month pop-up will include a series of brightly-colored, interactive environments that celebrate candy in all its glory—including flying unicorn pigs and a marshmallow tsunami (whatever that means).
“Now more than ever, who doesn’t need an escape from reality? Candytopia is about unconventional fun, breaking a rule or two, and having a fantastically yummy time,” Sorkin told Los Angeles Magazine.
If you’re lucky enough to snag a ticket (it’s already sold out opening weekend!), expect to see all sorts of sweet treats ranging from gummy to chocolatey to nostalgic, with samples along the way. And there will be food trucks on-site to help prevent attendees from falling into serious sugar comas.
Candytopia opens its sticky sweet doors on December 15th at Hangar Studios’ special warehouse in LA. It’s expected to run for only three months, so get your tickets while you can.
