Channel Your Inner ’90s Child with The Plaza’s ‘Home Alone 2’ Package
Calling all kids of the ’90s, your childhood dreams are about to come true.
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, the Plaza Hotel is offering a special experience inspired by the beloved holiday classic. Now you can live like Kevin McCallister in that famous ice cream sundae binging scene.
Released in 1992, the festive flick shows 11-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) being alone for the holidays, again—this time in New York City. As luck would have it, Kevin has his dad’s credit card and manages to holiday like a boss.
The Plaza invites you to ‘Live Like Kevin’ with a movie-themed stay-and-play package including a four-hour limousine tour of NYC, a copy of the Home Alone 2: Lost in New York anniversary DVD, a one-of-a-kind anniversary backpack, and an over-the-top ice cream sundae delivered to your room, just like Kevin’s (go wild and get that third scoop—you’re not driving).
“In-room and throughout the hotel, a variety of experiences inspired by Kevin’s time over the holidays here at The Plaza will come to life for guests to enjoy,” the hotel website reads. Todd English Food Hall, the Plaza’s in-house restaurant, will even serve a ’90s-inspired menu featuring upscale versions of SpaghettiOs, Lunchables, and Hot Pockets.
Whether you steal your dad’s credit card or use your own, this nostalgic experience is available beginning December 1st and rates start at $895.
