Eat This Now NYC: The Stromboli Bagel Debuts Tomorrow
Black Seed Bagels is spicing up their menu once again.
New York City’s cult favorite bagel shop—known for their freshly hand-rolled, wood-fired bagels—regularly expands its sandwich offerings by teaming up with local chefs to create limited-edition specials. But their final collabo for 2017 may just be the best one yet.
Black Seed joined forces with another wildly popular NYC spot, Emily pizzeria, to unleash the ultimate December indulgence: the Stromboli Bagel.
Chef and co-owner of Emily, Matt Hyland, worked with Black Seed’s executive chef, Dianna Daoheung, to create the spicy, savory sandwich, which features layers of mozzarella, salami, and hot Italian peppers stuffed inside poppy and sesame seed-covered bagel dough.
Then it’s drizzled with sweet and fiery Mike’s Hot Honey—one of our all-time favorite condiments, made locally in Brooklyn.
The December-only stromboli special is available for $7.25, starting tomorrow at all three Black Seed locations (Nolita, East Village, and Brookfield Place). Quantities are limited, so get there early—this is one mouthwatering mashup you don’t want to miss.
