This LA Lobster Stand is Causing a Crustacean Craze
Lobster is no longer reserved for fine dining. The tasty crustacean is being turned into street food and people can’t get enough.
Lobsterdamus, a lobster-focused food stand at Smorgasburg LA, is changing the lobster game. They throw live Maine lobsters (split in half) onto a hot charcoal grill, slather ’em with clarified butter, and add fresh lemon, parsley, and seasoning. The result is smoky, flavorful lobster meat that’s the base for their entire menu. And the crowds keep lining up to try it.
After their lobster truffle fries put Lobsterdamus on the LA heat map, they expanded their menu of lobster-fied offerings due to incredibly popular demand. Now, lobster lovers can dig into loaded lobster and cheese nachos, fried lobster balls with garlic butter sauce, a whole lobster over spiced garlicky noodles, and more.

Pretty clawesome, right? You can catch Lobsterdamus every Sunday at Smorgasburg LA and at the upcoming OC Night Market, August 25-27.
