Awards-inspired eats & drinks

And the Grammy goes to…

Midtown’s The Pennsy Food Hall is getting into the spirit of the awards ceremony in a whimsical way. The upscale food hall, which is adjacent to this year’s Grammy venue, is serving a musician-inspired menu to celebrate the Grammys’ return to the Big Apple.

Vendors at The Pennsy will be offering specialty Grammys-themed food and drink items—including Grammium cocktail, a P!nk sushi roll, and cookies donning the nominees’ faces— through Sunday, when Madison Square Garden will welcome country’s top artists for the big event (NYC’s first time hosting the Grammys in 15 years!).

Here’s a peek of some of the inspired offerings:

NY State of Mind cocktail at The Pennsy Bar: Two Grammy cocktails will be on offer, including this bright pink tippler made with vodka, Italian grapefruit soda, and salted rim.

Triple Platinum Truffle Burger at Pat La Frieda: The meat-centric stall typically sells sliders, but it’s going big—and luxe—for the special occasion. A full-sized beef patty infused with truffle oil is topped with melted provolone and arugula and served on a toasted brioche bun. It’s a sure bet that this burger is a winner.

P!nk Roll at Sabi Sushi: Named after three-time Grammy winner P!nk (who is a nominee for this year’s Best Pop Solo Performance), this sushi roll boasts pink-tinted soy paper wrapped around spicy tuna, avocado, and white rice with tobiko.

The Snoop Dog: The rap star isn’t up for an awards this year, but he sure loves his food. This fancified hot dog, served by Pat La Frieda with caramelized onions, sautéed peppers, and a drizzle of honey mustard on a toasted ciabatta roll, is straight smokin’. Hot diggity!

Hand-painted treats from Cinnamon Snail: While you can’t guarantee your favorite Grammy-nominated artist will win, you can bite into the action with these vegan frosted cookies and cinnamon buns painting with musicians’ faces including Jay-Z, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Miley Cyrus, and Cardi B.

What a clever—and mouthwatering—way to drum up excitement.
