Rosé Cider Will Be Your Next Go-To Summer Drink
Rosé lovers have a new drink to swoon over.
A rosé-flavored hard cider is hitting shelves this month, and there’s a strong chance it’ll be your next favorite warm weather beverage.
Hard cider purveyor Angry Orchard is releasing the new drink, which combines the essence of crisp apples with the light, refreshing rosé flavor that wine lovers enjoy.
So how does Angry Orchard Rosé Hard Cider taste?
The brand describes it as a mix of the blend of apples that their ciders are known for, along with the “rosy color and floral aroma” from the rosé.
Capitalizing on the skyrocketing popularity of rosé, Angry Orchard’s cider makers began experimenting with the drink mashup in their Hudson Valley-based cidery.
The company found a type of red flesh apple in Brittany, France, called “Amour Rouge,” which turns the cider such a deep pink hue. And when combined with flowery flavors, like fresh hibiscus, voila! Rosé cider was born.
Ryan Burk, the Head Cider Maker of Angry Orchard, is psyched for fans to try something new, because the unique sipper is different from their usual beverages.
He shared: “I love Rosé wine, but I’m excited for drinkers to move on over to cider and try something new this spring with our Angry Orchard Rosé. The rare red flesh apples used in our Rosé not only impart complex flavors but contribute to the cider’s beautiful rosy hue. It’s crisp, refreshing, and unlike any other style we have crafted.”
You can find Angry Orchard Rosé hard cider available for purchase starting this month, in 6- and 12-packs.
Because why wait ’til summer to #roséallday?
