Say “Ciao” to waterfront Italian at Gurney’s Resort & Marina

Forget cake by the ocean. Spaghetti al pomodoro sounds like a better idea to us. Luckily Gurney’s Newport, sister resort to the Hamptons original in Montauk, debuted a waterfront location of Scarpetta this week.

The iconic Italian eatery from LVD Hospitality (a New York City-based restaurant group including American Cut, Dolce Italian, Scarpetta, and more) opened the Rhode Island outpost just in time for the busy summer season.

The spacious and stylish ristorante offers all of Scarpetta’s Italian signatures—like their classic housemade spaghetti—as well as fresh, locally-sourced New England seafood, seasonal specialties, and world-class wines.

The move here is to snag a coveted table on the patio next to Gurney’s private marina: an ideal locale to kick back and dine al fresco while gazing at beautiful Newport Bridge across the bay. #summergoals

Situated on Goat Island, Gurney’s Resort & Marina is a short drive or water taxi ride away from downtown Newport. Scarpetta Newport is now open nightly, year-round. See you there!
