Impossible Tacos Are Now Available in Chicago
Taco Tuesday just got a lot more innovative.
The groundbreaking Impossible Burger made huge waves in the food industry in 2017, and solidified its place on restaurant menus across the country as a smarter beef burger substitute. Now, the plant-based “meat” is being used in more than just burgers.
The Southwest-style vegan taco is served in a homemade hard shell and topped with shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, and salsa.
The country’s first non-burger dish using the Impossible meat substitute (which looks, somewhat tastes, and even “bleeds” like real beef) is being offered all-month-long at the hip Windy City taco joint.
Tallboy claims the “100% Green, 100% Delicious” Impossible Tacos taste like the real thing. Worth a try? Absolutely. At the least, you’ll get a taste of what the future of food looks like.
Bet we’ll be seeing a lot more Impossible swaps in ground beef-based foods (think meatballs, chili, nachos, bolognese sauce, and more) on menus in the near future. The impossible seems possible after all.
