Ooh La La! Now You Can Veg Out at Le Bernardin
There’s an indulgent new way to eat your veggies.
Just in time for New Year’s resolutions (such as “eat more vegetables!”), New York City’s highly-acclaimed Le Bernardin is offering an exquisite vegetarian tasting menu.
Midtown’s Michelin three-starred stunner from executive chef and co-owner Eric Ripert is celebrated for its seafood-heavy succession of beautifully-plated dishes. And for the first time in the restaurant’s 35-year history, the team created a menu exclusively for vegetarians—or anyone who wants to veg out in a fancy way.
“I often get a dozen inquiries a week for a vegetable tasting,” chef Ripert told the Times. “I like the idea of a menu that pays homage to the vegetable, though it’s a creative challenge.”
Featuring six savory courses and two desserts (including dishes like creamy celeriac soup, silky pasta with black truffles, and roasted porcini mushrooms with eggplant) at $185 per person, this superb veggie tasting is sure to be le best of le best.
